Everbody negotiates...and everbody negotiates almost everyday...somehow we do not realize the important of negotiation skills. We negotiation when we want to buy something, we want our dream or wishes to be fulfill by our parents, teachers or siblings.Today, I want to share that there are 4 fundamental concepts in negotiation skills..There are BATNA, reservation price, ZOPA and Value creation through trades.

What is BATNA? BATNA is Best Alternative To Negotiated Agreement. This is apreffered course of negotiation skills. We could determine when to say No. We could determined our good and bad BATNA. For example, I want to buy a dress  I go the first shop and negotiates with the salesman. However, you have good BATNA where tell you. There are many shop you can buy dress, this only one shop. Then, you will not to frustrated and really want the dress.

Next is Reservation Price which a.k.a walk away. This is least favorable point at which one will accept a deal. The deal somehow near your BATNA but somehow there are some added advantage.

ZOPA is Zone Of Possible Agreement. ZOPA is the zone between the reserved price by the seller and buyer's reservation price. Somehow we use this type of negotiation skills when trying to buy something.

Last but not least is value reation thru trades. Negotiaotion parties can improve their positions by tradig values at their disposal. Each party gets something it wants in return for something it values much.

We do many group activities towards this topic. The first activity we are given 3 situation and we need to negotiation according to the situaation given. We are divided in 6 groups. Every group will be assigned as one character and try to negotiation to other group. My group has been assingned to be an employee which want to take a break for 3 months because her son's academic result has been very bad. It is very fun activities because everyone try their best to get their wish done. I really think many of them can actually act. Somehow the negotiation skill task become dramatic and unrealistic with many extra actors.. But, everyone have fun and enjoy the activities.

Wow...grooming..Everyone look nice and put some make up today if you notice...haha.. Grooming? Grooming is personal appearance, hygiene and clothing.... I went through many tips on choosing the right clothes for men and women especially for office attire..But the most important aspect when choosing the office attire is rule of thumb...."SIMPLE IS BETTER" Yes, we do not need to be to blink blink or too colorful.. But some how we want to look professional and elegant.

Always iron your clothes and make sure it is wash before you wear it...Hygiene is a MUST. It need a little effort to do it... If you have a bad odour, please wear deodorant or perfume as we will meet many people in the office. we do not want a bad impression on other people.

Some tips for men is choose the blue or white shirts because it make you look more professional. For women you have many choices of colour. However, I want to share with you one tips I get from this class.... How to know which colour suit you better? You can know the best colour of you by knowing you skin tone..either warm or cool skin tone. You can check it by looking at your vein either in blue or green in colour... If  your veins in blue in colour it shoes your a cool tones person while green vein represent you have a warm tones... Thus, you kow what colour better for you... Warm colour including yellow, green, chocolate and red. The cool tones are pink, purple, blue and green... Okay, enjoy the tips and always be hygiene....

I went through effective and powerful presentation class with Mr Abdullah and Madam Rusilawati Kamarudin. In this class we go through how to do a best and effective presentation and howto atrract the audience. Today, I want to share with you some principles of powerful presentation:
  1. People are overwhelmed with information.
  2. People have short attention and retention spans.
  3. Skilful presentation is not the same as public speaking.
  4. The purpose of the presentation is to persuade.
  5. The audience's perception is more important than the presenter's perception.
  6. Presentation must be memorable, meaningful, activating and catch attention.
Based on these principles, we know that we should giving information to the audience in catchy mood and be able to memorize by the audience. Therefore sometimes we need to repeat our stand and facts in order to get the audience as the audience maybe forgot as people has a short retention spans. One is need to bear in mind where presentation and public speaking is not the same. why I said so? This is because Presenting is more on audience oriented while public speaking more on speaker oriented. Presentation need more audience involvement, we do not it become one way of communication. Some presentation meed to be in soft tone and some need in high tone based on the topic as we want to persuade the audience. Last but not least, the presentation need to be meaningful and activating..Some of the presenter love to add quotes in order to make the presentation more memorable and meaningful...Okay, hope we have learn something new today...Be practice in order to get your presentation more memorable and practice practice and practice...bye...

"Knowing what you can do is one thing, knowing what you can do is another". It is a nice quote....You should think it deeply. It means you should know your own ability...what you are best at and what you are don't...I think somehow everyone has their own ability rather than what they are studying.... Sometimes we do not realize because we are push to do the best in our academic and we tend to left extra curriculum activities. I think everyone should gain any skills and experience in many aspects. Thus,we could know where our abilities lies... Be happy and enjoy life... Somehow you may try to sew, cooking or playing games...You may good at it. Try search your ability, maybe you will become someone that you may be haven't think about it before....
